water water everywhere

well this happened last sunday.. I rushed from jurong to tampines for a meeting after my concert.. and well... i was thirsty from rushing here and there.. so at the meeting, i took out my waterbottle, drank from it, and put it back into my black pvc (or some waterproof material) bag. moments later i felt a bit odd at my legs.. only to discover it was water dripping out from my bag! to my horrors... my entire waterbottle was emptied out into my bag and all my stuff was swimming inside.. my wallet, my clothes, my PHONE.

and i do not exaggerate when i say SWIMMING.. it was literally a pool in my bag, and my entire phone was submerged.. and obviously due to my v slow senses, i only realised that my bag was dripping after the phone had drowned. when i took all my stuff out and emptied the water outta my bag, the 2 lcds on my phone were half flooded with water. after i managed to get home a couple of hours later, (before this i went to a neighborhood phone shop and the guy said.. it's time to get a new phone), i decided to try to hairdryer trick which worked the last time i flooded my nokia phone.. (ok.. this is not the first time i causedthis super stupid flood)

but alas, the main lcd was well.. flooded and enclosed.. somehow the water jus couldn't get out and no amount of blowdrying on the outside will get the water out.. stupid sams*ng. and so i thought i'll hafta bid farewell to my phone! (ppl who haf seen my phone all think the funeral is inevitable)

and so i went on this search for a nice new phone to replace this misfortune. happened to learn from my aunt that she got a particular model of s**y phone for only $99 at Telco S. not a bad deal indeed! but by the time i learnt about it, the offer was over and the darned phone was going for $199. that was last week. i couldn't make up my mind then. and since i had a spare phone (though a bit lousy), my bro said i shouldn't rush into just buying any phone. i agreed. so i waited.. maybe this week got better promos..

wah lau! this week the phone is going at $249! and Telco S has already got the best deal. I saw it at $300+ at telco M. siao liao. when am i gonna get a new phone? my budget is only $200 and i REFUSE to spend another $100 on a 1gb memory card. ok.. these are my requirements:
1. at least 2MP camera
2. MP3 capabilities (with at least 256mb memory)
3. 3G
and actually, that's all! not too difficult wat rite? but so far i haven't really found one that fits the bill.. or at least, not one of the newer models. there are some older models out there that cost below $100 so i can still go buy the memory card to make up for its lack of internal memory. but i dun wan la.. come on manz.. give me some gd promos!

and now the most surprising thing is... i can turn on my sam**** now! after a week of rest, most of the water has evaporated from the lcd, albeit with tens of tiny droplets still lingering on the screen. but the thing is, IT CAN TURN ON! that day it was as dead as a fish la. but i still dun quite dare to use it lest it 'sot dian' and burn out. and the stupidest thing is i still cant connect it to my comp to trf my pics and contacts over.. ah well.. i was already prepared for the worst.. it'll be nice if i could do the pics la.. i've got some pretty decent pics in there (which i din manage to trf the other time cos my LAPTOP was spoilt) now laptop ok liao, phone spoil. wah kow.

now i've decided to wait awhile more maybe more of it will evaporate. and i will trade this phone in! it's supposedly worth $100. muahahha. and apparently my contract has ended for 4 mths liao la! it's time to get a new phone! (but my phone has been in this droplets state for like 4 days liao.. I really wonder how much more water can evaporate) otherwise how to trade in??

anw.. this friday is half day! and supposedly i'll be going for ktv with the Kot girls at nite! yay! haven't gone to ktv in ages.. i hope i dun get a sore throat! (i've been waking up with a somewhat sore throat these few days.. must be too heaty..) hope it doesnt end too late either! otherwise the next day can't wake up to go for ernie's bday lunch! and after that, i'll be flying off to macau at nite! yayz.. holiday ALL THE WAY til 2/1/07! oh sharks and it's almost 12 now! need to sleep liao or else no amount of eye creme will save my panda eyes... adieu!
