scabs
Before I begin my topic about scabs, I must do some complaining..
This morning I boarded the bus to work as usual, at approximately 8.45am from my place. As usually I left my house at 8.30am and proceeded to wait like an idiot at the bus stop.. forever..
Quite luckily, I managed to get a seat after the bus stopped at the MRT station..
But maybe it wasn't so lucky..
I got one of the back-facing seats in front.. and from then on it was a terrible journey.
Actually I couldn't see the road conditions (since the bus was crowded and I was facing the back), but it ended up that I reached office at around 9.30am. Kow! That was a whole 20 mins more than what it would usually take.
And by that time I was on the verge of puking on the bus already. Ok la.. not so bad.. but the puke was already around my chest.. ugh..
The frequent accelerate-brake motions just disturbed my insides.. And as I'm typing this I'm feeling a little woozy in my head.. SUX.

OK back to scabs..
Newaez, this is just a little feeling that I got this morning when I saw a beginning-of-a-scab forming on one of the lasered craters on my foot.
Ha. Never have I been so happy for a scab to form on my skin.
Last week I had a minor laser surgery done, which left 2 teeny craters on the balls of my feet.
Surprisingly, the one which I thought was the more serious one (which was the one I identified), started to scab within 2 days of the surgery. The other one, which I thought was dead skin, turned out to be a tough one to heal. I suppose maybe the surface area was bigger, this one was sorta rectangular shaped and measured about 1 cm in length, while the other crater was a mini circle of about 6mm diameter.
While the circle was 'scabbing', the rectangle continued to bleed everyday as it was inevitable that I step on it, exert pressure and cause blood to flow out.. (a bit only la)
And everyday while I change my dressing the flesh still seems rather raw with no signs of healing.
My idea of healing was to let the thing dry up asap, but applying the doc's cream everyday and putting a bandage over the craters didn't seem like a good idea for the wound to dry up. So on Tuesday night I bandaged it without the cream (still must put bandage otherwise stain my bed), but to my horrors, the next morning I found the bandage stuck to the wound. I guess the wound tried to heal with my bandage. Had to pull it out.. like velcro..
Yesterday night I got slightly smarter. I decided to put aloe vera gel instead! Heck the antibiotic cream. Put for like 6 days liao and the stupid wound was not healing.
Voila! This morning, for the first time I saw the darkening of the wound. OK.. not darken-ing per se, but the wound was a darker red now and looked like it will probably scab over by the weekend! Yay!
No more limping!
So disgusting, having to wear flats, looking short and unpro..
But what was worse was having to walk on my heels, walk on the side of my foot, and exerting pressure in all the wrong places that caused bruises on my sole..
Ah.. can't wait for the weekend ;)
